San Francisco Welcomes Boise State, Memphis for Annual USF Legacy at Chase Center - University of San Francisco Athletics (1)

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -The Golden State Warriors and Chase Center announced today that the venue will host its annual college basketball double-header, USF Legacy, featuring the University of San Francisco (USF) men's and women's teams onThursday, November 21.The women's team will match up with the Boise State Broncos to start the day, with the men's team taking on the Memphis Tigers in the second game. Game times will be announced at a later date.

The event marks the fifth time both USF teams will play at Chase Center following their 2019 appearance against Princeton men's basketball and Stanford women's basketball, their 2021 matchups against Davidson men's basketball and Cal women's basketball, their 2022 appearances against Utah State's men's basketball and San Diego State's women's basketball, and last year's games against Minnesota men's basketball and Colorado State women's basketball.

The event will be a single-admission double-header. Fans will only need to buy one (1) ticket to gain admission for both games,with tickets going on sale to the general public on August1at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets by visitingchasecenter.com.

Following their second postseason appearance in three years, the University of San Francisco men's basketball team will return seven student-athletes from last year, including All-West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year, Ryan Beasley. Entering his third year as head coach of the Dons, Chris Gerlufsen helped guide USF to a 20+ win season in 2023-24, the seventh time in the last eight the program has reached the milestone. The Dons' third-place finish in the WCC last season marked their best conference showing since 2013-14. The matchup between San Francisco and Memphis will mark the third meeting all-time between the two programs.

Fresh off a successful 2023-24 season that included 10 conference wins, its third time in four seasons, the University of San Francisco women's basketball team ended the season tied for third place in the West Coast Conference final standings. The Dons return 12 student-athletes, including Debora dos Santos, who ranked first in the WCC in rebounding, fourth in scoring, and earned All-WCC First Team honors for the first time in her career. Entering her ninth season at the helm of the program, head coach Molly Goodenbour has helped guide the team to the Women's National Invitational Tournament in three of the last four seasons.

The University of Memphis men's basketball team is looking to continue their success after finishing 2023-24 with a 22-10 overall record, including wins over four ranked teams. Moussa Cisse, who was the AAC Freshman of the Year with the Tigers in 2020-21, returns for his second stint on campus. Led by head coach Penny Hardaway, the former NBA All-Star has notched at least 21 wins in all six seasons with the Tigers, which has included a NIT Tournamnet title in 2021 and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2021-22 and 2022-23.

Boise State will travel to the Bay Area after posting a 21-14 record a season ago, marking their first 20-win season since 2019-20. The Broncos, who finished tied for fourth in the Mountain West Conference standings last year, recorded victories over New Mexico, Rutgers, and Wyoming. Following the successful season, the Broncos appeared in the NIT, their first postseason appearance since 2019. Head coach Gordy Presnell enters the season with the sixth-most collegiate wins (751) among active Division I women's basketball head coaches. Natalie Pasco and Mya Hansen, the team's top-two scorers, return to the squad as the centerpiece of the Broncos' offense. San Francisco and Boise State have faced off five times in program history as the Broncos hold a narrow 3-2 edge over the Dons.
