It was a remarkable day for Service Stream Transport team at National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) to walk the talk! Exact word of an indigenous woman! She had enough of #project talk ref to corporate companies reconciliation act plan. Connect Sydney (a company of Service Stream) did what they say they will do! How impressive. Following on our “Let’s Talk Culture” programme Day 1, we attended the openning of youth centre at Redfern where we contributed in the transformation of a wrecked building to something community was dreaming of. “How can I help your community?” — question of Simon Denmeade started the journey a year ago. It was a quite emotional ceremony when someone dreams come true and when you witness it. As Johan van Dyk says the help doesn’t need to be bigger or smaller it helps to shape the thing. This was the day company helped youth via Redfern Youth Connect (RYC) to shape their future by giving them a safe and healthy place to grow.Apperantely indigenous youth have the biggest suicide number in the world and issues with high crime rate. Hope more corporate companies follows their talk to support the community. "As within, so without” - Derick GrantThis quote resonates deeply with me and encapsulates one of the main reasons I founded tipped. Over the years, I have engaged in many conversations, read articles about tipping and encountered differing viewpoints.Tipping is not about succumbing to societal pressure or feeling obligated to tip. Instead, it is an act of kindness driven by our compassion and desire to appreciate the hard work of service personnel. I firmly believe in tipping because I genuinely want to, not out of guilt or manipulation.For me, gratuity serves as a means to encourage service personnel to continue providing exceptional service and to spread kindness, especially to those who work tirelessly in various weather conditions, such as car guards and petrol station attendants who always greet me with a smile.However, a common challenge arises: "I DON'T ALWAYS CARRY CASH ON ME!"
