condemn the property and foot the bill to get rid of the buildings The request goes to the council today been delayed too long just as upset as everybody Snyder said sole goal is to get that place cleaned Root says getting im patient He collect insurance money for the water and smoke damages his building sustained He said the insurance company want to pay up until the burned buildings are cleared in case the pet shop is accidentally damaged Even when the block is cleared Root says in for weeks of almost no business at all just like it was when police blocked off the entire block for a few days after the fire already lost a veterinarian who rented space in the back of his shop The vet left because the alley which offered direct access to his office was closed off The pet grooming graduate Lakes Campground RANKORT rancis Bice 69 of Route 10 died unexpectedly at 3:55 am Sun day in Home Hospital in La fayette Mr Bice and his wife the former Thelma Thomas owned rancis Bice and operated Lakes Camp ground near Mulberry for 12 years before retiring in 1986 They farmed in Benton County for 27 years before moving to Clinton County in 1974 Born in Jasper County Jan 26 1921 he graduated from Chalmers High School in 1939 He married Thelma Thomas on June 26 1943 He was in the service from 1942 until 1945 and was a sergeant dur ing World War II Mr Bice was a former member of Oxford Christian Church in Ox ford and Mt Gilboa United Meth odist Church near Remington He was involved in 4 in Benton County and served on the armers Home Administration in Benton County both for several years Mr Bice was an avid camper euchre player gardener and bowler He recently won the In diana Seniors Bowling Tourna ment in the 65 to 69 age division and was scheduled to represent Indiana in the National Seniors Tournament in 1991 Surviving are his wife two sons rancis Lindell Bice of West La fayette and Sherman Lee Bice of Oxford three daughters Mrs Mike (Pricilla Elaine) Teso of Jessie Stockment 94 who lived in Mon ticello for years died at 8:30 am Sunday in Home Hospital in La fayette She had been a resident of Regency Place for 10 years Mrs Stockment taught school for several years in the DeMotte community She married Wilbert Stockment in Remington and they farmed in the Wolcott area for many years He died in 1957 Born Aug 3 1895 near Mon ticello she graduated from Chalmers High School and Val paraiso University Mrs Stockment was a member of Meadow Lake Presbyterian Church south of Wolcott and Wolcott American Legion Auxili ary Surviving are two daughters Mrs Mildred Headdy of Sarasota la and Mrs Eileen Marasco of DELPHI Meon Myers 59 of 1Q4 Deer Creek Drive died at 11:35 pm Saturday in St Eliza beth Hospital Medical Center in Lafayette She had been a patient there for six days Mrs Myers had worked in the bookkeeping department at the former Union Bank and Trust Co and for Carroll County Abstract Office located in the Carroll County courthouse Bom Sept 17 1930 in Delphi she graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette in 1948 She lived most of her life in Del phi She married William Myers April 23 1960 in Delphi He sur vives Mrs Myers was associated with Delphi United Methodist Church Also surviving are a daughter Mrs Robert (Cathy) Kendall of Camden a son James Myers at home and two brothers James Trent of Oglesby Ill and John A Trent of Delphi Opal Stalker 78 former bookkeeper Opal Kibbe Stalker 78 of 1010 Cumberland Ave WL died at 11:30 pm Saturday in Home Hospital She had been in ill health several months Mrs Stalker was a bookkeeper for 20 years at the former Midwest loor Co in Terre Haute Bora in Parke County May 13 1912 she graduated from Bridge ton High School in Parke County and had lived in Lafayette for the past two years coming here from Terre Haute She was a former member of both the Rock Run Baptist Church in Clay County and the Business and Professional Women in Terre Haute Surviving are a son James Stalker of Lafayette three foster children rancis Richards of Camas Wash Jerome Richards of Terre Haute and Betty Dowen of Brazil and a sister Mary Boyd also of Brazil William Rehwinkd 40 Teamsters truck driver DELPHI William Reh winkel 40 a former Delphi resi dent died at 1:30 pm Saturday in Baptist Medical Center in Kansas City Mo He lived at 5609 109th Ter race Kansas City Mo Mr Rehwinkel a member of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 498 drove a truck for Jack Cooper Transport Co in Kansas City Bora eb 12 1950 in Lafayette he had lived in Kansas City for 34 years He was a member of St Cath Catholic Church in Kansas City 10!
